Beauty for Ashes Homeless Villages Tennessee is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing supportive tiny home communities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout Tennessee. Our vision is to create more than housing—we're building neighborhoods where people can access case management, employment resources, healthcare partnerships, life-skills education, and a pathway to permanent housing.
We are currently in the planning and fundraising phase of our first village. Every donation, volunteer, and community partnership helps move this vision one step closer to becoming reality.

Our story
Beauty for Ashes was founded on the belief that everyone deserves more than a place to sleep—they deserve the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, hope, and purpose.
Across Tennessee, thousands of individuals and families face homelessness due to circumstances such as financial hardship, domestic violence, medical emergencies, mental health challenges, aging out of foster care, or simply experiencing one difficult season of life.
We believe that a tiny home can be much more than shelter. It can become the first step toward healing, stability, meaningful employment, and lasting independence.
Our mission is to bring together communities, businesses, churches, volunteers, and compassionate individuals to create supportive tiny home villages where hope can take root and lives can be transformed.

The Heart Behind Beauty for Ashes
Meet Our Founder
Beauty for Ashes began with a simple but powerful belief:
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
In 2000, I experienced homelessness firsthand while struggling with addiction. There were days when I didn't know where I would sleep, what I would eat, or what tomorrow would bring. Every day became about survival.
During that difficult season, I also experienced something I never expected—the kindness of people who chose compassion over judgment. Their generosity reminded me that even in life's darkest moments, hope can still be found.
My journey taught me resilience, gratitude, and the importance of never giving up. It also showed me that homelessness is far more complex than many people realize. Behind every person sleeping outside is a unique story, and often a desire for a second chance.
Today, my life has been transformed, and I believe God has given me a new purpose: to help create that second chance for others.
That is why I founded Beauty for Ashes Homeless Villages Tennessee.
My vision is to build supportive tiny home communities where people can find more than shelter. I want them to find dignity, stability, meaningful work, community, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
This mission isn't simply about constructing tiny homes.
It's about restoring hope.
I know what it feels like to believe there is no way forward.
I also know what it feels like when someone believes in you.
Now, I want Beauty for Ashes to become that source of hope for others.
While Beauty for Ashes is still in the planning and development phase, my commitment is unwavering. I will continue building partnerships, seeking funding, and bringing together people who believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity and hope.
